MetroBCA Hosts Successful First Annual Build My Future Construction Career Day & Industry Showcase

Succasunna, NJ — October 15, 2025 — The Metropolitan Builders and Contractors Association of New Jersey (MetroBCA) proudly hosted its First Annual Build My Future Construction Career Day & Industry Showcase at the Franklin Elementary School Meeker Street Pavilion in Roxbury. The event welcomed more than 500 students representing 12 schools from across New Jersey, offering them a unique, interactive opportunity to explore careers in the construction industry.

The half-day event immersed students in 25+ hands-on learning labs, featuring demonstrations and activities in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, roofing, architecture, flooring, cabinetry, surveying, windows and doors, and more. Led by professional builders, architects, and trade experts, the program showcased the wide range of rewarding career paths available within the homebuilding and construction industries.

“Our goal is to inspire the next generation of builders and craftsmen. By giving students real-world experiences and the chance to interact directly with industry professionals, we’re helping to build the foundation for tomorrow’s workforce," said Michele Leppard, Executive Officer Metro.

Lunch was generously provided, and the event emphasized community connection, teamwork, and skill development in a fun, educational setting.
